Know more about Big Brother Africa

The Big Brother Africa 8 (otherwise called Big Brother Africa 2018: The Chase) was the eighth period of the Big Brother Africa unscripted tv arrangement, created by Endemol for M-Net. It started on 26 May, 2013, running for 91 days and consummation on 25 August, 2013. Ikponmwosa "IK" Osakioduwa returned to have the show for the fifth season in succession.

In this season, there were twenty-eight housemates who lived in two houses – The Ruby House and The Diamond House. Every week, two housemates would swap houses for the up and coming week until the consolidation was come to. The housemates were vieing for US $300,000. This season, 28 members from fourteen nations took an interest in the arrangement. Every one of the fourteen nations were home to past members including Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Kenyans specifically were asked to apply by the facilitating channel.[1]

The government educated the housemates that there was a third house, evidently called the "Emerald House". The Emerald House didn't really exist; it was a misdirection to influence housemates to second figure their odds of winning.

On day 48 amid the Channel O party, Big Brother presented six housemates from the "Emerald House": Alusa (Kenya), Busi (South Africa), Eveva (Zambia), Jazz (Kenya), JJ (Zimbabwe), and Sophie (Uganda). The presentation of these "new" housemates was expected to confound the genuine housemates when Big Brother sent them on a mission on Day 49.
